We ran into this striking young builder way back in 2000 while he was renovating a nearby property. We were not recruiting models at the time – The Full English wasn't even a twinkle in our eye – so we put him touch with a photographer friend. As a result the eighteen-year-old Bob was featured on one of the UK's first male model websites (see below right).
Teased
We started working with Bobby a good few years later and got several shoots under our belt – he seemed to enjoy the attention and the chance to make some quick weekend money however he didn't enjoy the merciless mickey-taking from his workmates and even his brothers, who it seemed had always teased the lad for being the pretty face of the family.
Changing Faces
By the time of our last shoot with Bob he had entered a very different new world and was not such a happy young man. He had become much harder and less trusting; he seemed to snarl his way through our last session together and he decided to call it a day. It was a shame as we know he would have enjoyed a part-time modelling career as he was already a huge hit with the girls. The pictures in this set document his transition from fresh faced pup to streetwise tough nut. Perhaps it's time to call him up again...
